William Randolph "Bill" Stitt, DMD

William Randolph "Bill" Stitt, DMD, 76, of New Alexandria, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, at home. He was born Sept. 2, 1946, to the late William D. and Ruth I. (Randolph) Stitt. He attended the University of Pittsburgh for both his undergraduate degree and dental school. While there, he joined and eventually became an officer in the Psi Omega fraternity. He served as the New Alexandria community dentist for many years. Bill was an active member of the Lions Club and Kiwanis Club. His passion was being an auctioneer, antique car dealer, toy collector and a member of the Buick Skylark Club (1953 and 1954). He also enjoyed the annual New Alexandria Demo Derby. Bill is survived by his wife of 22 years, Barbara L. (Little) Stitt; two children, William R. Stitt II (Erica) and Nathan A. Stitt (Ashley); one grandchild, Charlee Raye Stitt; a sister, Susan Coleman (Dave); a nephew, David Coleman (Meghan); a niece, Sara Coleman; and two great nieces, Shannah and Hallie Coleman, daughters of David Coleman. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670, 724-668-2248. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2023, in the funeral home.
