William Herbert "Bill" Mauck, 71, of New Alexandria, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at UPMC Hospital. He was born Dec. 6, 1950, in Pittsburgh, to the late Robert A. and Audrey (Clawson) Mauck. Prior to retirment Bill worked as a heavy equipment salesman for Beckwith Machine and he also worked in sales for Home Depot. Additionally, Bill spent many years working at the P. David Newhouse Funeral Home where he would welcome visitors with his kind hearted smile and a compassionate heart. He was a member of St. James Church where he served as a Eucharistic minister, lector and usher. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society. One of Bill’s great loves was spending time and talking about his children and grandchildren. His passion was building train model homes and his love for his garden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Howard and Beatrice Schilling. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Veronica "Vicki" (Schilling) Mauck; two children, Matthew John Mauck (Amber), Jodi Lynn Baldridge (and her fiancé, George Deuel); six grandchildren, Christopher Baldridge (Alexis), Aysha, Alyssa, Tristan and Chase Mauck, and Makayla Baldridge; two great-grandchildren, Amilia and Brooks Baldridge; a brother, Robert Mauck (Kathy); a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Becky and Mario Mignogna and two brothers-in-law, Howard Schilling (Judy) and Joseph Schilling; as well as several nieces and nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670, 724-668-2248. Bill’s funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Church, with Fr. Tyler J. Bandura as celebrant. Interment will follow in Twin-Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
