William Kuhns Latimer

William Kuhns Latimer, 85, of New Alexandria, died Sunday, March 23, 2014, in his residence in New Alexandria. He was born July 18, 1928, in Westmoreland County, son of William Clifton Latimer and Ada May Kuhns. Bill had retired from Kennametal, where he worked in heat treating. He was a member of the New Alexandria Lions Club and the Latrobe Elks. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Sally Ann; two children, a son, Jeffrey W. Latimer and wife, Melanie; and a daughter, Linda Payne and husband, Thomas; granddaughters, Chrissy Beck and Molly Strickland; and two great-grandchildren, Jake Stoner and Ila Stoner; stepchildren, Dr. Kathryn Arden and husband, Matthew Arden and Anthony, of New Mexico, David and Amy Arcuri and three children, Emily, Phillip and Timothy, of Boyertown, Willard and Simone Keith, of North Carolina, and Victoria Keith, of New Alexandria. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and Washington Sts., New Alexandria, with the Rev. Bryan Werner, of New Alexandria. Inurnment will be private.
