William DeVinney Obituary

William Charles DeVinney, 85, of New Alexandria, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital.  He was born February 28, 1938, in Greensburg to the late Simpson Charles and Dorothy (Cochran) DeVinney.  William served his country as a member of the U. S. Army  and was a retired school bus driver and farmer.  He is survived by two children, Loretta Altieri (Tony) and Clifford DeVinney; three grandchildren, Victoria Lewis, Tony Altieri Jr., Savanna Altieri; a brother, Dave DeVinney; his former wife, Wanda DeVinney; and his cat Stubbs.  Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670, 724-668-2248, where a funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, with Pastor Sean Lyons officiating.  Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, New Alexandria.  VFW Post 33 will render military honors at the cemetery.  To purchase flowers or send condolences, please visit www.NewhouseFuneralHome.com.
