Treg F. Wentling Derry Treg Forrest Wentling, 56, of Derry, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, in his home in Derry Township. He was born Jan. 14, 1962, in Greenville, Pa., son of Charles F. Wentling and Phyllis E. McCormick. Treg was a self-employed landscaper, starting at age 16 in Monroeville. He was known for his construction and design skills. He was also a dog breeder, from Rottweilers to Pomeranians. He was regarded as a cook and a gardener par excellence. He attended a lot of horseshows to support his wife's efforts with a prize-winning Gypsy Vanner, a draft horse. He was a loving father and grandfather, and his family was the first priority in his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Treg F. Wentling Jr.; and a brother, Kevin Wentling. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Shelly; two sons, Austin (Randi) Wentling and Zackary (Rachael) Wentling; two stepdaughters, Amber Conrad and Charley Jo Marsh; and grandchildren, Colton, Madilyn and Thomas Wentling, and Kaydence Conrad and Kenley Marsh; stepmother, "Mum" Kaye Wentling; brothers and sisters, Kimberly (Gideon)Allen , Crissy (Ray Jenkins) Ferraro, Joanna (Justin Martin) Wentling, Gia (Kevin) Edwards, Ryan (Samantha) Wentling, and Grant (Amber) Wentling. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, newhousefuneralhome.com, followed at 8 p.m. by a service in the funeral home. The Rev. Monsignor Larry J. Kulick, J.C.L., will officiate.
