Sara Jane Moyer

Sara Jane Moyer, 84, of Greensburg, died Sunday, July 29, 2018, in her home at Pershing Square. She was born Sept. 30, 1933, in Crabtree, daughter of Harry A. Moyer and Eva Sheffler Moyer. Sara was retired from Westinghouse in Youngwood, where she worked as a tester in quality control. She was also a volunteer at the Palace Theater in Greensburg, and also helped with meals on wheels. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Greensburg. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Theodore Moyer. She is survived by her brother, Harry Moyer (Leona) of Latrobe; two sisters, Pearl Pinchock, of Latrobe, and Nancy Pifferetti (John), of Crabtree. There are several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10 until 10:30 a.m., the time of service, Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, with Pastor Tammy L. Falscik, of the Luxor United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, New Alexandria. www.newhousefuneralhome.com.
