Sandra Dee Matesic

Sandra D. (Keim) Matesic, 52, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Latrobe, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, in West Marion Community Hospital, Ocala. She was born April 13, 1960, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Edward J. Keim and Ann Kathleen (Donahoe) Keim. She was a graduate of Derry Area High School, class of 1978. Sandra was known for her strong aesthetic sense. Following training at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, she began a career in interior design. She will be remembered by those who knew her for her creativity, attention to detail, culinary skills, and compassion toward animals. Sandra is survived by her sisters, Nancy McNaughton, of Latrobe, and Donna Lee, of Hunker; her brother, Jack Keim, of Pittsburgh; and her beloved dog, Pilot. A memorial Mass for Sandra will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, in St. James Church, New Alexandria, with the Very Rev. Larry J. Kulick, JCL, as celebrant. Following the Mass, the family will receive friends in the church's social room. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Westmoreland County, P.O.
