Ruth E. Swarner, 84, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, at Mountain View Specialty Care Center. She was born Feb. 18, 1931, in Tunnelton, a daughter of the late Dale Kelly and Dorothea Knickerbocker Kelly. She retired from the Shop 'n Save in Saltsburg where she was the meat cuitter. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Swarner Sr.; and a son, Glenn B. Klingensmith. She is survived by her three children, Donna Raspberger and husband, Ed, of Saltsburg, Allen Klingensmith and wife, Susan, of St. Croix, and Daniel Klingensmith, of Greensburg; three stepchildren, Robert E. Swarner Jr. and wife, Anita, of Pittsburgh, Bruce E. Swarner and wife, Denise, of Arizona, and Rose Nicholson and husband, Gary, of Blairsville; three grandchildren, Patrick, Nicole and John; three step-grandchildren, Stephanie, Stacie and Cory; two step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Pistininzi and Shirley Weimer; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Byerly and Edna Kovacs. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, with the Rev. A. Wayne Duffield, M.Div., officiating.
