Ruth I. Halula

Ruth I. Halula New Alexandria Ruth I. Halula, 85, of New Alexandria, died peacefully Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014. Born Sept. 23, 1929, in Latrobe, she was a daughter of Chalmers E. and Julia Ramaley. She retired from Latrobe Area Hospital where she worked as a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of St. James Church of New Alexandria where she belonged to the Rosary Altar Society. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Halula; and a great-grandson, Aidan O'Rourke. She is survived by her children, Edward K. Halula, of Seaside, Ore., Dennis M. Halula and wife, Linda, of New Alexandria, and Judith K. Halula-Cramer and husband, Ronald, also of New Alexandria; grandchildren, Jason Cramer and Kerrie O'Rourke; and eight great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are private at the request of the family. P.
