Rose McCabe Obituary

Rose Ann McCabe, 76, of Luxor, passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. Born Dec. 15, 1948, she was the daughter of Rose Cable. Rose Ann was a dedicated homemaker who took pride in her work ethic and keeping the household taken care of. She was a woman who stood true to who she was and was never one to falter when she told you just what she thought. We will all remember her, her humor, her stubbornness, and her dedication to her family fondly. She will leave a hole where her love once stood. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Alvin E. “Reuben” McCabe Sr. and her soul dog, George, who she couldn’t wait to see again; sister-in-law, Dorothy “Becky” Wallace, and brother-in-law, Ralph “Huck” McCabe. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Alvin “John” McCabe Jr. and Ralph “Peany” McCabe and his wife, Beth Ann; sister-in-law, Nancy “Ginger” McCabe; various nieces and nephews such as Lisa(McCabe) Fry, and Terry Wallace; her loyal dog Odie; Josh Taylor; Luke Stauffer; and her two devoted granddaughters, Brittany McCabe and Alexia McCabe, who are finding it hard to put into words just how much they love and grieve for her. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her. She will be missed mostly by her granddaughters, who considered her their best friend. We love you Gram, forever and a day.  There will be a private viewing and burial followed by a public Celebration of Life at Old Crabtree Sportsmen at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 9, 2025. Please feel free to join our family for stories and remembrance of Rose.  Arrangements entrusted to P.
