Ronnie Lee Benson

Ronnie Lee Benson, 38, of Derry, died Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at home. He was born Dec. 3, 1976, in Flint, Mich., son of Rita Ann (Hoffman) Benson. He was a supervisor for Advanced Carbide. He was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church and was a 1995 graduate of Derry Area High School. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marion C. Hoffman. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his grandfather, Joseph Hoffman; five siblings, Ed Benson and his wife, Johna, and their children, Kaylie and Tanner, Lynn Benson and his children, Matthew and Andrew, Dan Benson and his wife, Nicole, Tracy Mather and her husband, Doug, and their children, Alyssa and Taylor, Kerry Benson and her husband, Nate, and their son, Blake. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2015, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015, in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Daniel C. Mahoney, VF.
