Robert Lennon Shestik

Robert L. Shestik, 73, of New Alexandria, died Tuesday, March 14, 2013, at St. Andrews Village, Indiana, Pa. Born Jan. 23, 1940, in Latrobe, he was a son of the late Robert E. Shestik and Madge O'Shea Shestik. Bob retired from Scott Electric in Greensburg where he was a salesman. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Latrobe where he was a former altar server. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his adoring wife, Myla E. Goodlin, Jan. 10, 2013. He has a sister, Carole Pickels and husband, Edward, of Latrobe; and two stepdaughters, Cindy Burnham and husband, Matt, of Marietta, Ga., and Susan E. Ludwig and partner, Laura Olsen, of Washington, D.C. Visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and Washington streets in New Alexandria, where a service will follow at 9 p.m. with the Rev. Kathleen Shirey, pastor of the Community United Presbyterian Church of New Alexandria. Burial in Union Cemetery, New Alexandria. The interment will be private at his request. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., Seventh Floor, New York, NY 10001.
