Robert Blaine Garlow Jr.

Robert B. Garlow Jr. formerly of Irwin Robert Blaine Garlow Jr., 72, of Bethlen Home, formerly of Irwin, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle with cancer. Garlow was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Robert Blaine Garlow and Jean Elizabeth (Buzzard) Garlow; and his infant son, Brian B. Garlow; and he leaves behind his brother, Richard Garlow (Christine Garlow), of Irwin; two daughters, Amy (Garlow) Soich (Jennifer Bleehash), of Latrobe, and Erin (Garlow) Swift (Thomas Swift), of Waxhaw, N.C.; as well as seven adoring grandchildren. Garlow was a veteran, having served as a sergeant in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Services will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Oct. 1, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME in New Alexandria. Interment is private. Newhousefuneralhome.com.
