Robert F. Brown

Robert F. Brown Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle Robert F. Brown, 80, of New Alexandria passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born Aug. 30, 1935, in Butler, he was a son of the late Robert and Laura (Kurish) Brown. Robert was an over-the-road truck driver for 35 years. His last employment was with Myers Bus Lines, where he was a driver. He was a member of New Alexandria United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the Greek Club of Snydertown and the White House Club of Loyalhanna. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Buzzard Jr., and a granddaughter, Robin Brown. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Thelma D. Brown; five children, Robert Brown Jr. of Latrobe, William F. Brown and wife Tina of New Alexandria, Diane L. Nicely and husband Merle, Patricia A. Ramsey and Tracey L McKendrick and husband Dave, all of Latrobe; grandchildren, April Jamison, Andrew and Cassie Palmer, Amanda, Heidi and Michael Brown; great-grandchildren, Ryan Jamison and Jocelyn Jamison; his sister, Nancy Beaken and husband Harry of Luxor, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, in P. David Newhouse Funeral Home, corner of Church and Washington streets, New Alexandria. Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, in the funeral home with Pastor Rhea Summit of the United Methodist Church of New Alexandria officiating.
