Raymond P. Malone Sr., 74, of Bradenville, formerly of New Alexandria, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, in Greensburg Care Center in Greensburg. He was born June 2, 1942, in Braddock, the son of Raymond Malone and Mary Audrey Carson. Ray was employed at First Student, where he was a school bus driver. He was a lifetime member of the New Alexandria Fire Department and the New Alexandria Fireman's Club. Raymond was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Malone Rugh; grandson, Michael Rugh; fraternal grandparents, Joseph Malone and Anna Mae Herman Malone; and maternal grandparents, Samuel Carson and Mildred Gess Carson. He is survived by his fiancee, Darlene M. Garris, of Bradenville; a son, Raymond P. Malone Jr., and his wife, Janette, of Vancouver, Wash.; daughters, Teresa Koontz, of New Alexandria, and Mary Thurston and husband, Charles, of New Alexandria; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. His brother Michael Malone and wife Margaret of Hannastown. There are several nieces and nephews.
