Patricia Nadeo Obituary

Patricia Anne (Henshawe) Nadeo, 78, of New Alexandria, passed away Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, peacefully at home. She was born Aug. 23, 1937, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Ernest Henshawe and Elizabeth Roberts. Pat was a graduate of Penn Hills High School and retired from Greensburg Salem School District, where she worked for many years. She was active in the PTA, when her children were young. When not busy with her children, eight grandchildren or eight great-grandchildren, she loved crossword puzzles and was a good scrabble player. Some of her fondest memories were of camping at Clear Creek State Park with family and friends. She is survived by her children, Terry (Nadeo) Bortz, of New Alexandria, Michael Nadeo and wife, Natalie (Scifo), of Greensburg, Harold "Ed" Nadeo, of New Alexandria, and Dale Nadeo and wife, Tracy (Palmer), of Derry; a sister, Suzanne (Henshawe) Mauk and husband, Emerson; a brother, William Henshawe; and her constant canine companion, Nik, who laid by her bed throughout her illness. Following her wishes, there will be no viewing. A life celebration for friends and family will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015. The family requests attendees bring pictures and stories of her life. Arrangements for cremation are being made through P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, in New Alexandria. Memorial contributions can be made to Action For Animals Humane Society, P.O. Box 814, Latrobe or the American Cancer Society .
