Olga R. Eidemiller Hornock, 94, of New Alexandria, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, in The Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg. Born March 18, 1920, in New Alexandria, she was a daughter of the late John Philip and Agnes (Schmucker) Eidemiller. Olga was a member of St. James Catholic Church of New Alexandria. She was a housewife and homemaker. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James R. Hornock, on Jan. 16, 2004; her daughter, Agnes Bortz Nolan; three sisters; and a brother. Olga is survived by two daughters, Kathy Hoyman, of Greensburg, and Barb Martin and husband, George, of New Alexandria; grandchildren, Raymond Bortz, Debbie McCleary, Scott Bortz and Christopher Hoyman; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jerome Eidemiller and wife, Mary, and Matilda Burkholder, both of New Alexandria, and Minerva Phillips, of Florida. Visitation from 2 until 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, at Pleasure Acres Equine and Feline Rescue Center Covered Bridge Grove at 149 Hornock Drive, New Alexandria. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, in St. James Catholic Church, New Alexandria, with Monsignor Larry J. Kulick, JCL, pastor of St. James Church, as celebrant.
