Norma Ruth (Kiehl) Kosmack, 97, of Export, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024, at home. She was born June 8, 1927, in Irwin, to the late George R. Kiehl and Hettie (Blackburn) Kiehl. She began her career as a secretary at Westinghouse and then she was a homemaker until her husband passed away. After raising a family she then reentered the work force as a clerk for Ames Department Store where she continued until the conclusion of her working days. Norma enjoyed gardening, sewing, needle work and antiquing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Kosmack in 1976; and a sister, Hazel Jean Kiehl in 1931. Norma is survived by three children; Roxanne S. Rouse (Jeffrey P.), Deborah A. Kosmack, and Vincent V. Kosmack; and two grandchildren, Kira N. Riggs (Riley) and Ian C. Rouse. A private family viewing will be from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670, 724-668-2248. A funeral liturgy will follow at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Tyler J. Bandura officiating. Burial will follow in Plum Creek Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
