Mary A. McKeown

Mary A. McKeown, 71, of Wilkinsburg, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012. She was born Nov. 23, 1940, in Pittsburgh, to the late Ed and Jean Shontz. Mary grew up in Wilkinsburg. She married Robert McKeown in 1960 and they lived together in Penn Hills. Mary was a dynamic person. She was funny with a great sense of humor. She loved to laugh and have a good time. She was also very generous and devoted to her family and friends. Mary is survived by her husband, Robert; and two children, Carole McKeown, of Denver, Colo., and Donna McKeown, of New Alexandria. She is survived by two grandchildren, Nicole Rengers and Michael Rengers Jr. Mary is also survived by her siblings, Carole Deaunovich, Jeanie Block, Pat Shontz, Eddie Shontz and Dennis Shontz; also preceded in death by her brothers, Dick Shontz, Paul Shontz, Jim Shontz; and sister, Nancy Leffler.
