Mary Ann Ball

Mary Ann Ball, 82, of New Alexandria, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, in her residence surrounded by her family. She was born June 11, 1936, in Blairsville, daughter of Paul Matthew Williams and Kathryn Rice Williams Kells. Mary Ann retired from Torrance State Hospital after more than 30 years as a psych aid. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church of New Alexandria. She was formerly a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the New Alexandria Volunteer Fire Department No. 77. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, David James Slezak, in 2007. Mary Ann is survived by her three children, Tim Ball, of New Alexandria, Jami K. Pruitt and husband, Erick, of Latrobe, and Jacki Latimer and husband, Dean, of New Alexandria; grandchildren, who affectionately called her "G.G.", J.D. Latimer, Jessi Slezak, Emily Dias, Katlyn Nofziger and Tiffany DeMase; and great-grandchildren, Zoey, Bentley, Darbi, Fletcher, Adeline and Wade. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria. www.newhousefuneralhome.com. Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, Route 22, New Alexnadria, with the Rev. Monsignor Larry J. Kulick, JCL. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
