Lillian D. 'Bunny' Berger

Lillian D. 'Bunny' Berger, 78, of New Alexandria, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born Dec. 20, 1933, in New Alexandria, a daughter of the late Paul Berger and Lillian Sheffler. Bun retired from the Orco Company. She was of the Protestant faith. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Esther Wolcott and Alma Harbridge; and brothers, Arthur Berger and Eugene Berger. She is survived by her brothers, Paul E. Berger and John A. Berger; and sisters, Alice Murphy and Jill Yingst. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no viewing as per her request. Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and Washington streets, New Alexandria, with Pastor Rhea Summit, of the New Alexandria United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, New Alexandria.
