Lawson A. Bowers Jr.

Lawson A. Bowers Jr., 76, of Clarksburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital in Johnstown. He was born Aug. 22, 1936, in Greensburg, the son of Lawson A. Bowers Sr. and Edith Gertrude Silvis. He retired from Thorofare Markets, where he was the assistant manager for 28 years. Lawson worked for Indiana Transit, where he was a bus driver after his retirement. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda. Lawson is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey A. (Donna) Bowers, of Tioga, and Scott A. Bowers, of Clarksburg; three grandchildren, William, Brian and Mark; four great-grandchildren, Dakota, Austin, Devin and Tyler; a sister, Myrtle Shaffer, of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 9 until the time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, with the Rev. Ruth Moore officiating, at the P.
