Keith Van Horn Tucker, 95, of New Alexandria, passed away at home on June 26, 2026, being welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus, his Savior. He was born September 29, 1930, the son of the late Melville and Dorothy (Wilkinson) Tucker. He was born, as he would always say, "on the big island". Referring to Manhattan, NY not Hawaii. Left to share his memories are his wife of 12 years, Susan (Clawson) Tucker; daughter, Joy Lynne (Jonathan) Borchert of Kinston, NC; grandsons, Josh (Marlo) Tucker, Jeremy (Kate) Tucker, Mark and Tyler Robinson; granddaughter, Jessica (Ryan) Melius; great-grandchildren, Owen, Lockwood, Weston Tucker, Jake and Abby Melius; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Johnston and Linda Clawson; a niece, Cherri (James) Crusan; and two great nieces, Chandler (Denny) Riley and Emily (Adrian) Oglesby. In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his first wife of 50 years Lelaine; and his son, Jeff. Keith graduated from Multnomah School of the Bible in 1953, and San Diego State University with a BA in Radio and TV Production. He worked for Scandinavian Airlines before opening a travel agency, Acacia Travel, specializing in wildlife and nature tours. Keith visited 80 countries and fell in love with Africa. He led safaris in Africa over 40 times. Always enjoying the country and their culture. Keith was a published author and was completing his second book at the time of his death. Keith was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing and loving him. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 5-6 p.m., at the P. David Newhouse Funeral Home, 215 Church Street, New Alexandria, PA 15670. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home with pastor Mike Williams from Living Hope Church.
