June D. Betts New Alexandria June D. Betts, 88, of New Alexandria, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. She was born June 1, 1930, in Greensburg, daughter of Ray Hancock and Adeline Barger Hancock. June was a homemaker and housewife. She belonged to the New Alexandria Senior Citizens Center. She was an honorary member of the New Alexandria Fire Department. Along with her parents, June was predeceased by her husband, James N. Betts; three stepchildren, Marlin Betts, Jane Arford and Jean Wagner; and a sister, Mary Jellison. She is survived by stepchildren, Lois Helsel, Anna Grace Langsdale and Eddie Betts; special granddaughter, Judy Arford (Joe Dean); special nephew, Charles Hancock; and a brother, Ray Hancock (Sara Ann). There are 18 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, www.newhousefuneralhome.com. A funeral service will be at noon Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at the funeral home officiated by clergy from the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Burial will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
