Joseph Carl Stynchula

Joseph Carl Stynchula Sr., 57, of New Alexandria, Pennsylvania died Monday, July 29, 2013, at Forbes Regional Hospital. Joe graduated from St. Vincent's College 1979 with a Bachelor's in Music Education; Master in Education Technology. He served the United States Army and Air National Guard before settling in Springfield, Virginia, where he raised his family for the next twenty years. While in Virginia, he was an active member and conductor for the Mount Vernon Community Band and the Vienna Community Band. Son of the late Carl Stynchula Sr. and survived by his mother Jo Ann Rigby, Stynchula, his children; Caroline Nicole and partner Chris Hernandez, Alexandra Lynn, Andrea Kaye, and Joseph Carl Jr. and two grandchildren; Ava and Addison Hernandez. His brothers, David and wife Valerie, Carl Jr. and wife Beth, Matthew, sisters Cindy Stynchula and Monica and husband Dr. Osman Ahmed, and his guardian and devoted friend Dr. Brian Carty. Viewing will be held Friday August 2, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the P. David Newhouse Funeral Home at 215 Church Street New Alexandria, PA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Crabtree at 10 am with Rev. Father Justin Matro O.S.B. as celebrant. www.newhousefuneralhome.com
