John J. Vincze, Jr.

John J. Vincze Jr., 85, of New Alexandria, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, at home.  He was born April 5, 1939, in Latrobe (Dorothy), to the late John J. Vincze Sr. and Mary (Chiesa) Vincze.  John was a retired advertising and radio Director for West Penn Power.  In retirment, he drove cars for the Smail Auto Group.  He was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Fellowship in New Alexandria and he was a church Elder.  He enjoyed singing with the New Alexandria Community Choir, and served in the Westmoreland County 4-H. John was also instrumental in the formation of the credit union at West Penn Power Corporation.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (Elder) Vincze in 2022; an infant brother; two sisters, Emily Head and Anita Kozar.  John is survived by three children, Timothy Vincze, David Vincze, and Jonathan Vincze; a brother, Raymond Vincze; three sisters-in-law, Betty Finley (Bill), Janice Elder, Catherine Elder; a brother-in-law, Ronald Kozar; several nieces and nephews; as well as friends Rev. A. Wayne and Nancy Duffield.  Family and friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2024, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670, 724-668-2248.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. A.
