John Vicola Jr., 85, of New Alexandria, passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020 peacefully at home. He was born July 26, 1935 in Searights, PA to the late John and Nellie (Calabrase) Vicola. He was a retired Chief Hotel Engineer for the Harley Hotel and a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Fourth Degree Knight. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother William Vicola. He is survived by his wife of 63 years June (Molenock) Vicola; five children Kathy Ann Palombo (Benedict), John A. Vicola (Yvonne), Angela Vicola, Gina Vicola Troutman, Christopher Vicola (Jessica); 10 grandchildren Fernando, Diana and Benny Jr. Palombo, Mario Vicola, Giavanna and Gianni Vicola, Tonia Signore, Tara Troutman Green, Lisa Troutman, Craig Troutman; 11 Great grandchildren Alessia, Giovanni, and Cleo Palombo, Mateo and Ariana Winovich, Vincent Troutman, Alli, Lila and Macy Green, Karli and Kaiden Kuncher; a brother Frank Vicola and a sister Nancy Poderzay. Visitation will be held Monday, Jan 4, 2020 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670, 724-668-2248. A Funeral Liturgy will be celibrated on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2020 at the funeral home, with Bishop-elect Larry J. Kulick, JCL as celebrant.
