John A. Astolos

John A. Astolos, 53, of New Alexandria (Derry Twp.), PA, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Independence Health System - Latrobe Hospital.  He was born March 23, 1972, in Latrobe, to Samuel and Nellie (Maguire) Astolos.  He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army.  John worked for Elliott Company in the Shipping and Receiving Derartment.  He enjoyed working amature (HAM) radio and belonged to the Greensburg amature radio club.  He was also an automoble enthusiast and enjoyed going to car shows.  In addition to his parents, John is survived by his two sons, John Astolos Jr. and Brayden Astolos; two brothers, Samuel Astolos (Kelly) of Nashville and Timothy Astolos of New Alexandria.  Family and friends will be received from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670, 724-668-2248, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Leonard B.
