Joan S. (Sheffler) Hornock

Joan S. (Sheffler) Hornock, 89, of New Alexandria, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, at home.  She was born March 26, 1936, in Salem Twp., PA to the late Nora Sheffler.  She was a member of St. James Church.  In addition to her mother, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen R. Hornock in 2014.  She is survived by a son, Joseph Hornock; two daughters, Sue Watt and husband, Jim, and Sally Watt and husband, Jerry, all of New Alexandria; five grandchildren, Holly Shafer, Rebecca Monteparte (Frank), Stephen Watt (Jennifer), Jeff Watt and Jesse Watt; four great-grandchildren, Connor, Callie, Stephen and Mia.  Family and friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670, 724-668-2248.  A funeral Mass will follow at St. James Church at 12:00 noon with Rev. Tyler J.
