James Delano Baker, 86, of New Alexandria, PA, passed Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. He was born May 27, 1934 in Saltsburg, PA to the late Howard and Alice (Fink) Baker. He was a retired coal miner and a co-owner of the Baker and Slezak and later Baker and Moore masonry businesses. He actively worked until he was 81 years old. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Freda (Slezak) Baker; six brothers and sisters Sarah Rodgers, Harvey Baker, Shirley Kiebler, Rick Baker, Jack Baker, and Tude Reedy; and a grandchild Donny Kelly. He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Kenyhercz) McCawley Baker and her children Kim and Mike Pavlic, Michelle and Mike Bair and Ed and Kim McCawley; eight children Jimmy Baker, Debbie Ankney, Doug Baker and his wife Paula, Melinda Taylor and her husband Doug, Lori Savisky and her husband Ray, Kim Zello and her husband Mike, Donny Baker and his wife Debbie, and Becky Brank; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
