Gordon L. Arnett, 62, of Bridgeville, died Monday, July 7, 2014, in St. Clair Hospital, Mt. Lebanon, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 2, 1952, in Bradford, a son of the late Henry William and Dorothy Ann Dietz Arnett. He was the maintenance supervisor at Goodwill Villa in Bridgeville. Gordon was a Vietnam War veteran, having served in the Marine Corps. He belonged to the Bridgeville American Legion. He was also a Civil War reenactor with the Bucktails. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Edward Dean and Frederick David. He is survived by his loving wife of six years, Harriette E. McGinn Arnett, of Bridgeville, formerly of New Alexandria; stepson, Nicholas Olczak and friend, Sarah Barral, of Export; brothers, Richard, Edwin and James Arnett; and sisters, Dolores Slice and Elizabeth Tardy; and mother-in-law, Edna McGinn, of New Alexandria. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and Washington streets, New Alexandria. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014, in the funeral home with the Rev. Kathleen Shirey, pastor of Community United Presbyterian Church in New Alexandria, officiating.
