Frederick V. Ruble

Frederick V. Ruble, 91, of New Alexandria, died Thursday, May 29, 2014, in West Haven Nursing Home in Apollo. He was born April 28, 1923, in Salem Township, son of Harry and Etta Lyons Ruble. He retired from J & L Steel. Fred was a member of Community United Presbyterian Church in New Alexandria, where he was a former elder and deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings. Fred is survived by his wife, Ruth I. Bennett Ruble; two sons, Leslie and Larry; two daughters, Louise and Linda; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and Washington streets in New Alexandria. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014, in Community United Presbyterian Church of New Alexandria, with the Rev. Kathleen Shirey, pastor of Community United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, New Alexandria.
