Eugene F. Newhouse

Eugene Franklin Newhouse Sr., 87, of New Alexandria, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at home. He was born Jan. 2, 1929, in New Alexandria, son of the late Dewey Theodore Newhouse and Eleanor (Dowden) Newhouse. He was retired from the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County and was a member of the New Alexandria Water Authority. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Newhouse; and three brothers, Raymond, Seaney and Tunney. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Olga Marie (Kouth) Newhouse; three sons, Eugene Newhouse Jr. and his wife, Sue, Dennis Newhouse and his wife, Debbie, and Scott Newhouse and his wife, Tammy; nine grandchildren, John Jr., Jeannie, Halley, Lacey, Jeffrey Allen Jr., Jason, Nathan, Samantha and Kylie; 10 great-grandchildren, Morgan, Ava, Sophia, Kaloeb, Jayden, Chloe, Alex, William, Bailee and Abel; and a sister, Doris "Dottie" Seanor. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and Washington St., New Alexandria, PA 15670. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Nathan Watkins officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, New Alexandria.
