Ellis Steele Waldron

Ellis Steele Waldron, 72, of New Alexandria, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.  He was born August 2, 1953, in Pitcairn, to the late Harry Hudson Waldron and Leola Faye (Steele) Waldron.  He worked in sales for Macy's, Kaufmann's and J.C. Penny.  Ellis enjoyed playing basketball and played for many years; He also played guitar since youth.  In addition to his parents, Ellis was preceded in death by two siblings, Elizabeth Waldron and Lee Waldron.  He is survived by his exwife and friend, Terri Yates Waldron; two daughters, Rachel Weber (Ed) and son Nolan Weber, and Maya Waldron Kempka (Nick) and children, John Waldron, Jay Fello, Carter Kempka, and Haiden Kempka; step-grandchildren, Brooke Kempka, Mikala Kempka, Hunter Kempka and Hayley Kempka; a sister-in-law, Jean Waldron; a nephew, Damon Waldron (Kim) and Darryl Hanson (Carter), nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received for a memorial gathering from 2-3 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2025, at P.
