Elizabeth K. (Liz) Yantos

Elizabeth K. "Liz" Yantos, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born in Coral, daughter of John Krovantka and Anna Novavilski Krovantka. Liz retired from the former Bell Telephone Co. where she was a supervisor. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church of New Alexandria. She was a former president of the St. Anne Association, a member of the BPW of Greensburg and the Bell Telephone Pioneers. Along with her parents, she was the last surviving member of her siblings. Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 59 and one half years, Andrew S. Yantos, of Greensburg; sister-in-law, Barbara and her husband, Stan Volek, of New Alexandria; and nieces, Josephine Loughner, of Graceton, and June Krovantka, of Ohio. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria. www.newhousefuneralhome.com. Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2016, in St. James Catholic Church, New Alexandria, with the Rev. Monsignor Larry J. Kulick as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree.
