Elizabeth Betty Davis

Elizabeth Betty (Shedlock) Davis, 89, of New Alexandria, died Friday, March. 2, 2018 in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born May 16, 1928, in Iselin, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Haluska) Shedlock. Betty was a housewife and homemaker who loved her family especially her three children. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church of New Alexandria. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Davis; one son John F. Davis; one daughter Jeanie Davis and many brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter Joan Davis of New Alexandria; one sister Ethel Maiolie of New Alexandria; one brother Albert Shedlock and wife Mary Ann of Delmont; four grandchildren; eight Greatgrandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2018, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, newhousefuneralhome.com. A funeral mass will be held will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2018, in St. James Catholic Church in New Alexandria, with Rev. Monsignor Larry J. Kulick, J.C.L., officiating. Interment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, PA.
