Edward E. "Eddie" Rohrer Jr., 48, of New Alexandria, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, in Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax, Va. He was born March 29, 1965, in Latrobe, son of Edward E. and Helen Kovach Rohrer, of New Alexandria. He was employed by Tishman Speyer in Washington, D.C., where he worked in HVAC. Edward was of the Protestant faith. He was a member of Salem Ukranian Club of New Alexandria. Edward was a veteran having served in the Marines (USMC). He had been stationed in Okinawa, Japan and in the Philippines. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Ginger Wallace, of Gibsonia, Kathy Sheffler and husband, Jerry, and Diana Gindlesperger and husband, Calvin, all of New Alexandria; nephew, Chad Sheffler; niece, Tiffany Ball; and two uncles, Larry Blasco and Scott Kovach and wife, Darlene. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, in the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, in the funeral home, with the Rev. Matthew P. Schwender, pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Derry, officiating. Burial will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
