Edith M. (Nemchek) Orgovan, 84, of New Alexandria, died Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 12, 1931 in Slickville, the daughter of the late Paul F. and Elizabeth C. (Mattey) Nemchek. Prior to retirement Edith was homemaker and worked at The Corner Restaurant and Carbone's . She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Latrobe. Edith loved children and family dearly flowers, gardening, crocheting, bingo, sports, and especially her dog Cuddles and her sons dog Hope. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John F. Orgovan, four sisters, Bertha N. Salensky, Estella P. Orgovan, Mary Bohonis, and Thelma Gabriel and one infant daughter. Edith is survived by her two sons John V. Orgovan and Siri and Brian S. Orgovan; two daughters Yvonne Lovejoy and husband Jim and Karen Vought and husband Marvin all of New Alexandria; two grandchildren, Johna and Becca; four great grandchildren, Kaylie, Tanner, Mackenzie, and Tyler; numerous nieces and nephews and her caregiver who she greatly appreciated Denise. Visitation will be from 4 -8 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria. www.newhousefuneralhome.com. Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2016, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Latrobe, with the Rev. Jeffrey L. Schock officiating. Burial will be in New Alexandria Union Cemetery.
