Earnest F. Steffey Jr., 78, of New Alexandria, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. He was born Aug. 17, 1936, in Trees Mills, son of Earnest F. Steffey Sr. and Mary J. Klingensmith. He was a retired steelworker from Latrobe Steel. He was a member of United Steel Workers Local No. 1537 of Latrobe. He was an avid bowler for many years at Lincoln Lanes and had many friends there. He was very proud of the perfect 300 game that he bowled in 2006. He was a veteran, having served in the Army. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, Daniel; and a brother, Dean. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Nancy Lauffer Steffey; two daughters, Tracy Wilburn and husband, Randy, and Kelly McCleary and husband, David, all of New Alexandria; siblings, William G. Steffey (Stella), Donald Steffey, Dale R. Steffey (Charlotte), Betty Jean Murphy, Nancy M. Kifer (Dan), Beverly J. Kemerer (Richard), Cheryl L., Greygor (Tom), Pauline J.
