Dorothy Teresa Heinz, 92, of New Alexandria, died Saturday, May 2, 2015, in Greensburg Care Center. She was born Feb. 7, 1923, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa (Waizenhofer) Lucot. She had formerly been employed by Bell Telephone. Dorothy was a member of St. James Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also active in the choir. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Heinz, in 2008; brothers, Paul Lucot and Joseph Lucot; and a sister, Rita Krueger. She is survived by her children; sons, Robert M. Heinz, Edward J. Heinz and Kenneth P. Heinz, and a daughter, Susan G. Mayer; a brother, Robert Lucot; 15 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and Washington streets, New Alexandria. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, in St. James Catholic Church, New Alexandria, with Monsignor Larry J. Kulick, JCL, pastor of St. James Church, as celebrant.
