Dolores L. (Dudley) Ellenberger

Dolores L. (Dudley) Ellenberger, 88, of New Alexandria, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Loyalhanna Care Center.  She was born September 26, 1934, in Benezette to the late LeRoy and Vivian (Winslow) Dudley.  She married Charles Ellenberger in 1954.  He preceded her in death in 2017.  Dolores was graduate of Benezette High School.  She and her family moved to New Alexandria in 1964. Dolores was a member of the New Alexandria United Methodist Church and worked as a clerk at Rushwood Park Store until it closed in 1989.  She continued to work until retirement at Holsters Store in Latrobe.  In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Kunes and a brother, Don Dudley. She is survived by a son, Steven Ellenberger and his wife Karen, a daughter, Barbara Heiple and her husband Harry; a sister, Carol Smith; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; three nieces and two nephews.  Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2023, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670, 724-668-2248, where a brief service will take place at 8 p.m. with Pastor Sharon Waltenbaugh.  Additional visitation will be at the Benezette Methodist Church, Benezette, PA, Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon when a short funeral service will be conducted by the Pastor Missy Smith.  Interment will follow at Mt.
