David F. 'Sarge' Gardner

David F. "Sarge" Gardner, 73, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Loyalhanna Care Center, in Latrobe. He was born July 24, 1944, in Latrobe, son of Joseph L. Gardner and Doris Fischer Gardner. He served in the Marines. Sarge was a retired car salesman. He spent many years in the music industry, having one of the doo-wop oldies groups known as The Front Page. David was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Latrobe. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John E. Gardner. He is survived by two brothers, Joseph L. Gardner and wife, Arnett, of Schuylerville, N.Y., and Thomas R. Gardner and wife, Carol, of Shippensburg; a sister, Carol Ross and husband, James, of Latrobe; several nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Rose. The P.
