(Rugg) (Clawson) Hoover, 80, of New Alexandria, died Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Crest Personal Care Home. She was born Nov. 12, 1937, the daughter of the late Theodore C. and Helen Ruth (Burnsworth) Rugg. Prior to retirement, she worked at H&R Block and was a bus driver for Derry School District for 35 years. Cora was a leader in the 4H Club and a Cub Scout leader for many years, and she also was a teacher's helper at Derry School District. She loved sewing, knitting, putting on puppet shows for children, gardening and taking care of her flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald R. Clawson, in 1991; second husband, Charles E. Hoover, in 2017; one brother, Theodore Rugg; one sister, Rebecca Miller; one son-in-law, Larry O. Kestner; and one sister-in-law, Sue Rugg. Cora is survived by five children, Marlene L. Kestner, of Delmont, David R. Clawson and wife Helen, of New Florence, Daniel R. Clawson and wife Jill, of Derry, Duane R. Clawson and wife Teena, of Blairsville, and Marcy L. Martin and husband Andrew, of Gaston, S.C.; five brothers, John Rugg and wife Connie, of Mill Run, Graydon Rugg, of Mill Run, Ralph Rugg and wife Melinda, of Hopwood, Charles Rugg and wife Rosemary, of Connellsville, and Curtis Rugg and wife Lee; two sisters, Florence Williams and husband Edward, of Mill Run, and Marlene Bente and John, of Connellsville; 10 grandchildren, Abraham and Benjamin Powell, Danielle Clawson, Alice Plummer, Grace Ohmer, Douglas and Derek Clawson, Heather DePalma, and Dawn and Warren Martin; seven great-grandchildren, Paxton Lee, Tyler Plummer, Michael and Merliegh Volk, Nevaeh Kuzemczak, Matthias DePalma and Sean Ohmer; and nieces, nephews and friends. Cora wishes were that the visitation, funeral and internment be private. The P.
