Cecelia Yurack

Cecelia (Hornock) Yurack, 88, of New Alexandria, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at Independence Health System - Latrobe Hospital.  She was born November 6, 1936, in New Alexandria to the late Andrew and Mary (Repko) Hornock.  She was a homemaker and a member of St. James Parish, New Alexandria.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Yurack in 2013; four brothers, James, Andrew, Philip and, Edward Hornock; and a sister, Elizabeth Vargo.  Cecelia is survived by two sons, John Yurack, of New Alexandria, and James Yurack and his wife, Amy Loch, of Niceville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Hannah, Evan and Trevor Yurack; a sister, Margaret Forish; as well as several nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2025, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670, 724-668-2248.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Church, with Rev. Tyler J. Bandura as celebrant.  Burial will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree.  The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be directed to St. James Church, 306 St. James Ln., New Alexandria, PA 15670.
