Catherine “Cookie” (McCormick) Pastor

Catherine “Cookie” (McCormick) Pastor, 88, of New Alexandria, passed away peacefully Monday, August 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.  Born Dec. 31, 1936 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of the late James P. and Mary Ellen (McDonough)McCormick.  In addition to her parents, Cookie was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, George Pastor; her daughter, Kathy McNaughton; five brothers; and two sisters.  She is survived by her daughter, Georgette McNaughton and her husband Dave; son-in-law, Richard McNaughton, all of New Alexandria; and her son, Gregory Pastor and his wife Melanie of Greensburg.  Cookie was the proud grandmother of David McNaughton and wife Lindsey, Molly McNaughton, Cory McNaughton and fiancée Asia, Alexa Postler and wife Shayna, and Gabrielle Pastor.  She was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Emma.  Cookie will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt.  Her love for life and deep devotion to her faith were an inspiration to all who knew her.  She touched the lives of many with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering spirit.  Family and friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2025, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670, 724-668-2248.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Church with Rev. Tyler J.
