Carolyn Kline

Carolyn Kline(1934 - 2016) . Carolyn (Johnston) Kline, 82, of New Alexandria, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 10, 1934, in Black Lick, a daughter of the late John Sr. and Wilma (Shields) Johnston. Carolyn was a homemaker. She was a member of the Community United Presbyterian Church, PTA, Blairsville VFW Post 5821, and was a Sunday school teacher. Carolyn enjoyed drawing, painting and laughing. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Glenn Kline; one brother, Don Johnston; and one sister, Donna Sherba. Carolyn is survived by loving husband of 61 years, Lynn H. Kline, of New Alexandria; three children, Lynda Howell and husband, Paul, of Blairsville, Debra Marsili and husband, Michael, of Vandergrift, and Lynn Kline and wife, Sandy, of Blairsville; one brother, John Johnston Jr. and wife, Kathy; one sister, Wilma Cochran; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2016, with the Rev. Dr. Grafton Eliason officiating. Burial in Union Cemetery, New Alexandria.
