Carolyn Lee (Albert) Allen

Carolyn Lee Allen, 82, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully Feb. 15, 2023, due to a short battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 21, 1941, in Short Creek, WV to the late Ray and Anna Jean Albert. She married her high school sweetheart, Merritt Fleming Allen, in June of 1961, who preceded her in death in 2013.  Carolyn loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She loved cooking for all of them and made Christmas magical for everyone.  She was the president of her golf league and a Cub Scout den leader.  She enjoyed golfing, cooking, painting, sewing, stained glass and loved to watch Penguin hockey. Carolyn loved kids and her house was quite the gathering place, where she often fed everyone lunch, made them all cookies and Kool-Aid.  Carolyn was quite gifted in the art of sewing. She made numerous outfits for her grandchildren for various occasions. Carolyn is survived by a brother Robert Albert and a sister Anna Rae Ford. Her three sons and their wives, Scott and Beth Allen, Chris and Kelly Allen and Mark and Rhonda Allen; grandchildren Leandra, Samantha, Kiersten, Madison, Gretchen, Megan and Brittany; four great grandchildren, Levi, Louie, Anthony and Peyton and multiple nieces and nephews. All of whom she loved and touched deeply. She will be missed greatly but her memories will live on. Carolyn requested a private church service and luncheon afterwards.  Arrangements entrusted to P.
