Carmen Carasea Unity Township Carmen Carasea, 84, of Greenwalt, Unity Township, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at home surrounded by friends and family. He was born July 18, 1933, in Greenwalt to Felix Carasea and Rose Yaneralla Carasea. Carmen was a cattle farmer. He owned and operated the Carmen Carasea Farm in Greenwalt. He was a cattle farmer all of his life and loved what he did. He was a loving and caring person who shared his knowledge of farming with his friends at the Homer City Auction on Thursdays. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Church in Crabtree. Along with his parents, Carmen was preceded in death by four brothers, Leo, Kenneth, James and Angelo; sisters; Flora Willochell and Lena Tenerovicz; and two brothers-in-law, Charles Myers and Leonard Willochell. He is survived by two sisters, Carmelita Myers and Rose Savisky and husband Ray; sisters-in-law, Sandra Carasea and Helen Carasea; a brother-in-law, Ed Tenerovicz; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend and caregiver, Shawn Newhouse. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, newhousefuneralhome.com. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, in St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Crabtree with the Rev. Justin Matro, O.S.B., pastor of St. Bartholomew Church, officiating.
