Brian A. Sterrett

Brian A. Sterrett, 52, of New Alexandria, PA, passed away Mar. 22, 2021 at home. He was born Apr. 18, 1968 in Latrobe to John H. Sterrett and Catherine (Shumack) Sterrett. He was employed in Electrical Sales for Scott Electric. He was a member of Community United Presbyterian Church. He was the EMA coordinator for New Alexandria Borough, served as Fire Chief for New Alexandria Volunteer Fire Department Station 77 for eight years, where he also served as a Trustee, on their Council and was a safety officer for the department. He was a member of Team 211, a member of the Red Knights, was a water rescue technician, ran the firemen's golf league, a member of the Salem Ukrainian Club, a member of the Salem Rod and Gun Club, and a member of the American Motorcycle Association. He loved his family and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed spending time at his camp. He is survived by his wife of 22 years Susan M. (Muir) Sterrett; three children, Catherine M. "Katie" Sterrett, and Megan and Eric Sansonetti; two brothers, Gary Sterrett and his wife Kim of Derry, and Mark Sterrett and his wife Kathy of Hanover; a sister-in-law Wendy Muir; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, Mar. 25, 2021 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the Community United Presbyterian Church, 1640 Keystone Park Road, New Alexandria, PA 15670.
