Brian Dee Lloyd

Brian D. Lloyd, 61, of New Alexandria, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family Monday, March 30, 2015. He was born July 28, 1953, in Wilkinsburg, son of Robert E. Lloyd Sr., of Export, and Nettie Jane (Anthony) Lloyd, of Export. He retired from Lowes in Latrobe after 15 years. Prior to Lowes, he drove truck for Earhart Trucking in New Alexandria. He was a member of the New Derry historical society. He was active in the collection of artifacts historical in nature. He was the author of The Cliffs of New Alexandria by Brian D. Lloyd. It is registered in the Library of Congress. He donated many books into the New Alexandria Library historical section. He loved life and was always busy looking for his next project. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dale. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Judy Lloyd, of New Alexandria; daughters, Amber Halden and husband, Jamison, Lisa Kniseley and husband, Allen, and children, Jimmy and Tyler Trimble and Cameron and Jordan Kniseley; two brothers, Bud and Gregg Lloyd; two sisters, Doranne and Susan; and several nieces and nephews. Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria. The Rev. Brad Hogue will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Excela Health Hospice, Latrobe.
